Are you restless like me?
Jenna's former blog. It will still be here, but she will not be here.

"I know I miss more than hit."
I got a purple bike and some burgundy luggage for my birthday.
Who wants to start a bike gang with me?
My feet are cold even though I have two pairs of socks and some shoes on.

"When no where feels like home..."
Today it rained so I could not start decorating the yard for Christmas. Instead Manda and I listened to Bright Eyes Christmas carols and decorated wreaths for the windows and front door. We discovered that neither of us can tie nice bows.
My Thanksgiving ended up a lot better than I thought it would be. As expected, the adults did shots. They actually offered me one, I guess I count as an adult now. It was some specialty tequila, like made by a chef or something. They said it was smooth, I just thought it was better than warm Cuervo. They made Manda and I do the seating arrangement, again. Then they complained about where they had to sit. We played Fact or Crap. I got a pretty sweater for my birthday. My garlic mashed potatoes were a big hit.
I wrote my personal statement, finally. I guess I like it, but it really is very personal. I'm trying to decide if I should use it as one of my writing samples for this SF Writer's Conference thing. I also have to write some short answer thing for UW about cultural awareness, I think I'll write about being a minority at my school. I can probably use that for the conference, too.

Good night.
Happy Feet was the cutest movie I have ever seen.
I'm excited about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
And about tomorrow.
I love not having homework.

For my birthday:
Some one could sign me up for the Death Cab for Cutie fan club for my birthday.
Here's the link: http://www.dcfcunion.com/
It's $30.
I'd also like books, cds (I haven't got a
new cd in at least 6 months, so anything recent is welcome), gift cards, paint, beads, etc. You guys should know me by now.

Quotations.
I like this quote:
"Here's a rule I recommend: Never practice two vices at once." - Tallulah Bankhead
Too bad senior quotes were turned in today, but I guess I wouldn't have changed mine anyway.

I <3 Bright Eyes
And that's how I learned the lesson that everyone's alone and your eyes must do some raining if you really want to grow. But if crying don't help, you can't compose yourself, it's best to compose a poem; an honest verse of longing or a simple song of hope. That's why I'm singing, "Baby don't worry," because now I've got your back and every time you feel like crying I'm gonna try and make you laugh. And if I can't, if it just hurts too bad, we'll just wait for it to pass. And I will keep you company in those days so long and black.
-"Bowl of Oranges"
I realized that when I go to listen to music, if I don't have a specific band in mind I default to Bright Eyes. Oh well.

My room is cold.
I like sewing, especially when I actually finish something.
I think I will get my dad a nice coat for Christmas so he doesn't have to look like a hobo.
My dad and sister took my mom's car so now my mom and I are stuck here with no transportation.
I think I'll try to clean my room now.

Recovering.
I'm finally feeling a little better, but I'll be staying home again tomorrow to rest. My mom is worried I might have a secondary infection or something.
In summary, I felt fine all Saturday until after dinner. At around 7:30 I started feeling sick to my stomach and within 20 minutes I was puking. I lost count of how many times I threw up and my mom called the hospital and they said I should come in. I was so dehydrated by that point that I could hardly stand. They couldn't use the machine to take my blood pressure because it was too low. They finally got it and it was like 86 over 42, very low. They gave me a room and I had to wear one of those open backed gowns and I had an IV put in to get some fluids into me. At one point when I was coming back from the bathroom I passed out in my mom's arms. All I remember is leaning on the doorway then slipping and then all of a sudden there were more hands on me and they put me in a different bed. We found out afterward that passing out isn't uncommon with the medication they gave me, especially because I was so dehydrated. Over the next 7 hours my blood pressure came up and my stomach settled down and they sent me home at around 5 in the morning. Sunday is all a blur of waking up about every two hours. Monday I slept a lot, same with today. I couldn't work the polls because I still have a fever.
Now I'm just sleepy and my stomach feels fragile but I'm getting better.
Hopefully I'll be back to normal by Thursday.
