Are you restless like me?

Jenna's former blog. It will still be here, but she will not be here.

This just in!

E-40 reportedly has a kid going to school with Josh at Dublin Valley Christian High School.

"Like ballots drifting into the ocean."

Senior "picnic" tomorrow. At Boomers. I hope it's fun. Breakfast first at Baker's Square with Lauren.

I should read more.

I should be more outgoing.

I need to learn to be mad but not upset.

"The mistakes are obvious. The faults are glaring. The plane is on fire. The fucking ship is sinking. And you're swept away in a hurricane, buried in the rubble of an earthquake. It's terminal, inoperable, they're amputating, massive hemorrhaging, major fucking complications."

Never Again.

I was in the tiny Haypress computer room for like 5 straight hours today.

Today was a blur.

9/26/2006

"So we're doing this wild, huh?"

I need to attend more city council meetings. Not for the politics, it was a little dry, but for the distractingly attractive reporter there. Isabel says he's there all the time. Crystal and I named him Tom. We name them all Tom. Really, there are like 5 now. Damn, city council meetings are Tuesdays at 8, same as House. NO ONE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS EPISODE.

I wrote my first editorial for the paper today. I feel powerful. Too bad no one reads the editorial.

Update: I went to pick some scissors up off my bed and I closed them too soon and cut a little hole in my sheet. I suck.

"I got kicked out of my storage space last night."

Next time I should go to the laundry-mat a little further into Castro Valley. Hopefully it would have less drunken homeless guys yelling about drums being the most complicated instrument and how they didn't have to make it a criminal matter.

"I'm not surprised, but I never feel quite prepared."

My friends don't get excited about the same things I get excited about.

I like it when my cat sleeps in my lap. She's like a living teddy bear.

Ahoy!

Tomorrow is International Talk Like a Pirate Day!!!

I need some grog! Arr!

I thought it was strange, you said everything changed.

My dog woke me up at 4 am and I couldn't fall back asleep so I showered at 5:30 and now I'm ready an hour before school starts. And I already made and ate breakfast. I'm bored.

"I'm trying to get higher than education, can you help me out?"

Joey and I went to Berkeley for frozen yogurt, only for frozen yogurt. We were mobbed by Cal fans decked out in blue and gold. Then we saw the marching band go by--very cool. I love marching bands. (Cal won, by the way.) There were a lot of people randomly singing. One guy was singing "Desperado" which has to be one of the most random songs to randomly sing. Some girls had Joey take a picture of them with their Yogurt Park frozen yogurt.

I can't wait to be in college.

I don't want today to be a waste.

I want to get out of the house.

Manda and I did laundry so now all of my clothes are clean. I like having all of my clothes clean at once.

I'm gonna get dressed and hope that I have a reason to.

Oh, and I'll be attending my brother's 23rd birthday party on Friday. I'm excited.

Another cat post.

My cat's breeding is probably mostly Norwegian Forest Cat. Look it up, she's exactly like them right down to the fluffy fur between the toes. I have a fucking Viking cat. The original ship cats. You're jealous. I'm gonna miss her more than a lot of other things when I go away to college.

She may also be part Maine Coon, they make funny noises like her.

"I am ready, I am...fine."

I just had a mini-meltdown about college applications and all that. I decided I'm only applying to University of Washington. It's the only place I want to go and if I don't get in or can't go for some reason, I'll go to community college and then transfer there or somewhere else. It costs too much and causes too much stress to apply to schools I don't want to go to. It's gonna cost enough already to apply and send my SAT scores to UW.

I'm exhausted, time for bed.

9/13/2006

"It's times like this I wonder."

Tomorrow better be as cold as they say it will be. I want to wear long sleeves.

There are a bunch of baby spiders in my bathroom. I don't like them.

9/12/2006

My head hurts.

I'm too sensitive. I need an emotional helmet.

9/11/2006

I downloaded lots of music today.

I read into other people's actions too much. I need to learn to take things at face value.

Well, I actually have homework to do. And I ran out of things to say.

9/09/2006

And we sing, sing without a reason.

I have no way to determine if this is the least bit true, but it seems like I'd have a more active social life if I smoked weed. Oh well. I like remembering things, thank you.

Fall Festival was different this year. They added a car show, but moved the whole thing into the boulevard and out of the parking lot.

I have no homework this weekend. Yay.

9/08/2006

Holy shit.

Bouncing Souls and Street Dogs at Slim's on November 1st. $17 if we buy tickets online ahead of time. Who's in?

9/06/2006

We shout out each song against the clang of electric guitars.

I like Counting Crows.

I like new clothes.

I like my government/economy class.

I wish it were colder during the day.

9/05/2006

My cat plays with snakes.

Osvaldo and Kumar got my cards confiscated in shop.

There was a wasp nest on the shed Bower was trying to get us to paint, so we gave up and went back inside.

Someone turned in the puppy that someone stole from and 8-year-old cancer patient. Yay.

"If you've never stared off into the distance then your life is a shame."

Screw you internet. Don't you dare crash on me when I have a post 99% written.

9/02/2006

Good afternoon.

Does anyone want to learn to brew wine with me? It looks pretty easy. The hardest part would be waiting 2 weeks for it to ferment.

9/01/2006

I'm a push-over.

Sometimes I hate Fridays.

But I love Radiohead. (Does anyone have any Radiohead cds other than Kid A and Amnesiac that I can borrow?)

I also hate alarms. And that some people change unevenly.

I feel very cynical these days.

One more year until I'm out. One more year before I find out if it's me or this situation that's fucked up. One more year before I'm in the most vulnerable position of my life. One more year before I find out if every year will be like this one.

I've been swearing more lately. I don't mean to. There's just this small, underlying feeling of resentment towards everything running through my head almost constantly. The swearing seems justified.

I should read or something. This doesn't feel productive anymore.
