Are you restless like me?

Jenna's former blog. It will still be here, but she will not be here.

pretend there's a witty title here

I switched my econ/gov class from Ms. Moore to Ms. Ogden, so my schedule should be final know. Moore's class felt like 8th grade all over again, but less learning and less Mrs. Bigelow talking about hitting her kids. Now I'm gonna have a bunch of homework to make up. Finally, something to do.

My shop class is filled with boys who wear too much Axe. A kid in my photography class thought I was a teacher, on the second day of class. Haypress is coming along.

I guess shit's okay. I just feel...eh. Like that feeling you get when there's no room at the table all your friends are at or something.

I caught the Samuel L. Jackson interview on the Daily Show, it was basically just trying to get him to say "motherfuckin' snakes" as many times as possible. I need to go see that movie.

It was weird seeing the guy who works at Safeway at school today. He didn't have an apron on. I guess he's new or something, unless Safeway hires freshmen. I do know that they've hired hell of kids from HHS, though.

I'm not used to being tired this early.

School starts in a week. It's too much like summer still for school to start. It's too warm and the sun doesn't set early enough and the leaves are too green and it doesn't smell like fall. I feel like we start school earlier and earlier each year, but I think we actually start a bit later this year.

I wonder if the school thought about the parking and traffic situation when they decided to make us all start and end our days at the same time. THIS IS GOING TO BE HELL. If anyone thought leaving after 4th block was bad before (Lauren) imagine how long it will take now. About 45 minutes before the line dies off is my prediction. And it will lead to more people going out the in and probably more accidents because people will be impatient and rushing. Getting up the hill in the morning will be nearly impossible by 7:40.

I don't want to go back. I'm bored with summer and excited to be a senior, but I don't want to go back.

"Did you get a fish?"

I'm in Seattle right now. I love this place. It's like San Francisco in that it's built all over hills and surrounded by water, but it's so much bigger than SF. We got in yesterday and looked at Seattle University. It's a pretty campus, very small and you can barely tell you're in the middle of a busy city. Today we went to the Space Needle. Last time I was in Seattle we didn't go because Manda is afraid of heights. It had one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. You could see from one mountain range to another.

Eugene, Oregon was crap. It was eerie how confusing that place is. I don't think I ever want to go back. People weren't friendly there, either.

Well, we're off to the University of Washington for a tour. This is very exciting.

Something inching past the edge of reserve.

CAROLYN IS BACK!!!!!!

And I like scones.

Another OK Go video: OK Go on Treadmills.

Off to Ivy Cottage with Miss Biscuit and Violet.

Manda and I just spent over half an hour squeeling over how cute angora bunnies are. And dwarf bunnies. And dwarf angora bunnies.

I realized that every school year since 7th grade I've gotten a new hooded sweatshirt during my "school shopping." This year I want a purple one.

Bed now.

A couple months in advance.

I've decided that for Halloween I will be something that wears a cape. Not sure what yet, though. I think I'll wear the cape again on my 18th birthday.

8/09/2006

I should wear shoes around the house more often.

I just dropped a plate on my foot. A couple months ago I dropped a mug on my toe. I've also hit my head while getting something out of the trunk and while getting into the van. I hit my elbows on doorways all the time. I run into table corners with my hip or leg or knee.

I'm a very clumsy person.

Let's make it a point to.

I just realized that my blog's second birthday came and went already. Neat.

Don't say that everything's working.

I just finished an hour long game of Literati against Brittany. I won. :)

I'm gonna miss that girl. Hell of. But she promised to talk to me online still. And maybe some of that college schoolin' will help her beat me for once.

8/08/2006

I want a bike.

I denied two friend requests on Facebook today. I promised myself I would only add people I actually consider friends.

I made myself a damn good chicken sandwich for dinner tonight. The rest of my family had McDonald's. They missed out and I'm not letting them have any of the leftovers because I had already started cooking when they decided to have crap instead. If it's crap they want, it's crap they will get. I'll eat good food, thank you.

I need a stamp.

Why do I feel like I'm getting sick again?

Today was tiring. I'm going to bed.

Last day of class at Chabot.

WOOO!

I won't have to write another English paper for at least a year!

I'm free!

No AP tests for me! Guaranteed transfer credit!

A total of $19 for two college courses!

I feel like dancing.

ANGRY.

I had forgotten when the schedule pick-up was, so I decided to check the HHS website. Way to ruin my fucking day. Yes, it does say "EVERY student will be enrolled in FOUR classes all year. The day will begin at 8:00 AM and end at 3:10 PM for ALL students."

What kind of shit are they trying to pull? They should be starting this with the freshmen or maybe the sophomores, but not the whole damn school. I worked my ass off to get shit done so I'd have a pretty easy senior year with at least one free block and managed to pull off getting two free blocks. But then they went and decided that I'll have to take some bullshit electives to fill my time. I would not have doubled up on math sophomore year if I knew I'd have to take eight classes senior year. I probably would not have taken anatomy last year, or maybe no chemistry the year before. I would not have taken shop all year last year.

What the hell am I going to take now? Fucking ceramics? Keyboarding? The only class I'd actually like is Ethnic Studies with Dwyer, but that's probably full already. I maxed out my credit in shop, so there's no point in that. And being an AOP is the most ridiculous thing ever. The only way I'd do that would be for Mr. Joe so I could leave or maybe Winemiller because it did not look like our AOP did much.
