Jenna's former blog. It will still be here, but she will not be here.
There's a large spider crawling around your ceiling and wall, it stops above your closet door, which is slightly ajar due to the coats hanging from it. You pick up a shoe to smash the spider, thinking that even if you miss he'll just fall into the unused closet. Then you notice the can of spray adhesive sitting on the shelf next to you. You figure that if it's harmful to humans it would harmful to evil brown spiders, too, and you have a better chance of spraying it than of smashing it. You pick it up and shake it, then aim and spray. The spider falls into the mass of jackets hanging on the hook. You jump back a step and yelp a little in surprise. You hadn't anticipated the spider falling out two inches from the wall. You hit the coats a few times, thinking the spider might climb out so you can have round two, but nothing happens. Too afraid to actually take the coats down and look for it, you go back to your homework and laptop.
Next time go with the shoe. Blunt force is more reliable than poison.
And stop pulling on your laptop, the speaker cord is caught on the chair leg and you'll pull it out.
