A List.
Today was cool because:
-I got to wear my blazer, complete with antique pins on the lapel.
-I bought school supplies. And a whistle.
-Carolyn and I drank coffee and played rummy on the walkway outside the pottery place.
-I won the first two, of five, games.

Sounds like you had a pretty good day :) I know it sounds odd, but I always get excited about the new school supplies season.

My sister pointed out that everyone else likes back-to-school shopping because of the clothes, but I like it for the notebooks and pens.
I don't care much for the clothes shopping, I actually enjoy buying school supplies more than I do clothes. Even if the most I'll carry around school is a notebook, #2 pencil and a pencil sharpener.
I'm happy. I bought an orange notebook. I still have to buy a new pencil sharpener because mine broke around the last week of school and I get to buy a new set of #2 pencils. This time I want a set that's super cheap and has orange ones. Or maybe I'll buy a few at the Hello Kitty store.
I feel dorky.
... and now I have song from the target commercial in my head. The one that was Baby Got Back but they changed the lyrics around for school stuff.
