Are you restless like me?

A Meme. Because I'm lame.

Monday Meme 13 : 2005-08-15 : Reading Rainbow

1. Do you subscribe to any magazines? Which? Are there any you'd like to subscribe to but haven't?
No. I'd like to subscribe to some craft magazines, but I haven't found one I like enough yet.

2. How many books do you read per month? How many are for work?
Not many, thanks to this damn laptop.

3. What is your favorite genre of book (fiction, self-help, etc...)?
I guess life-like fiction, but I've been known to pick up the occassional fantasy, sci-fi, or non-fiction book.

4. Where do you get your reading materials? Online? Bookstore? Library?
Library, friends, school, bookstore on B street.

5. List 5 books you recommend people read:

1) Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams (You must.)

2) Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger (Old, but still relative.)

3) Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky (Beware, I hated the ending.)

4) Hard Love - Ellen Wittlinger (Made me cry.)

5) Stargirl - Jerry Spinelli (Great writing.)

Eh, that seems like a pretty lame list. Oh well, they're all good books.

Comments:
I read the first two on the list, However, the last three have seem to escaped me. To the library i go! If you have the patience for a government novel, try picking up Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.

I don't know how much you'll like the last three, or at least the last two. They're kinda girly. Perks is more unisex, Stargirl might be. Hard Love, however written from a boy's point of view, is very girly.

I'm not much of a fan of Tom Clancy books.

That list isn't lame, you've got a good one. I've heard that 'Wallflower' is good. And since you speak of books, here's one I mention to everyone at some point: The Time Traveler's Wife, Audrey Niffenegger. It goes back and forth, so it takes a couple chapters to get used to, but SOOO good.
