Jenna's former blog. It will still be here, but she will not be here.
Just thought I'd let you all know that I had the best time last night. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. We may have been the only ones dancing, and we may have looked like idiots, but we had fun doing it.
Audrye Sessions was really awesome. Plus, they had a violinist. They were selling refurbished vintage purses that were stencilled and had neat things sewn to them. I convinced Carolyn to buy the one that said "My heart belongs to Audrye Sessions." There's a girl bassist, by the way, who I assume is the one who decorated the purses.
I had seen Street To Nowhere once before, and they were great then and even better this time. At one point the singer came out with an acoustic and brought out a guy with a cello. The cellist was obviously the coolest guy there.
I am so glad I decided to look into this show when I heard about it, because Blackpool Lights is now one of my favorite bands. It was only their 9th show, but they'd all been in bands before. They played every song they know.
I came home with an Audrye Sessions cd, a copy of Blackpool Lights' tour-exclusive EP along with a shirt and set list. I got the cd sleeve signed by two of the band members. And I got a hug from Dave of Street To Nowhere.
Now I'm going to go shower before the Street Fair.
