It's official, my cat has conquered every horizontal, or nearly horizontal, surface in room, save two of the curtain rods.

I like getting free mp3s from livejournal communities without joining them. "Comment if you take anything!" Bullshit. How can they have rules about downloading the music they're sharing illegally? I got three entire albums and some other various songs. The downside: I tried to update my iPod, so all this great new music would be portable, and it got through about half of it before there was a "disk write error." (And that was after half an hour of fiddling to get the computer to even recognize the damned thing.) So I tried restarting the computer then updating the iPod software, I had neglected to do it earlier. Not a good move, both the computer and the iPod crashed. I've since tried everything I can find to try to fix it, even attempting to format the iPod drive and nothing has worked. So now I have an empty iPod in disk mode that won't even turn off. Fucking Apple must engineer these things to break right after the 1-year-warranty. At least I think it was only a year...I should check that.
